Georgia Alligator Hunting Application

Georgia has an general alligator hunting season each fall. To hunt alligators in the state of Georgia, you must apply online each year. It is recommended that hunters do not purchase an alligator license until after being selected. Otherwise your license will not help you. An alligator hunting license does not entitle you to harvest an alligator.

Gator hunters must first be selected through the quota hunt application process. Up to 3 individuals may apply as a party for alligator quota permits. However, no more than 3 individuals can be accepted as a party. When applying as a party, each applicant must allocate an equal number of priority points in order for the party application to be accepted.

Additionally, each alligator applicant must maintain a valid mailing address in their customer account. Florida Woman Bags Big Bad Gator!

Alligator Hunting in Florida: Big Alligator!

The state of Florida is known for fantastic alligator hunting and, of course, having some giant alligators.  Although many hunters dream of bagging a big gator, many men tremble at the thought of getting within close proximity to an 11 foot reptile. Most women would not even want to think about it. That, however, was not the case for one Florida woman, Arianne Prevost.

Many hunters prefer a gun for dispatching an alligator, but not Arianne. Her alligator hunting equipment included a crossbow, and that is exactly how she snagged this great Florida gator. You see, this year’s public gator hunt in Florida was Arianne’s first and she made it a memorable one by bagging an 11-foot, 450 pound gator.  Now that is a big Florida alligator!

Gator hunter Arianne set out for the kill with her boyfriend Robert Rohman. Prior to the alligator hunting season, they had been been scouting the St. Johns River marshlands and set up in an area where they believed the giant beast would eventually swim through. When they finally spotted the robust gator at about 9:00 o’clock a night, Arianne put 2 on-the-money shots in the gator from 13 and 15 feet out. She then big boy off from close range.

At this point they were both excited, and even Arianne was even more impressed when he pulled the big Florida lizard out. She just could not believe it. When asked about her trophy alligator hunting experience, she replied:

“When my boyfriend pulled it out, I could not believe how long and massive it was. My friends didn’t believe me until we showed them. Everyone agreed it was the biggest we’d seen in real life. I can’t seem to kill a deer, but I can kill an 11 foot alligator.”
